Hey Transformational Teacher!! I’m D’Toya
Pray LiSTEN Transform Teach
I am so excited to connect with you and join you on your teaching journey. I am currently a Licensed Pre-K Teacher and I received my life coaching certification in 2021. I have been teaching pre-k for about 16 years and to be honest with you, those 16 years have not always been the best. I have had some great years but have experienced some challenging years. 2015 I literally wanted to walk out the classroom.
However, due to my strong community of teachers, church and family behind me I stayed, and I ended up allowing what I went through to help transform me into a better teacher and person. This experience had an everlasting impact on how I teach in the classroom and played a huge roll in developing my relationship with God more.
Once I started to realize I wasn't in this teaching thing along and I allowed others in my space to help me I overcame many obstacles in teaching. Another thing that has helped me was being more rooted in God, praying more, and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and direct me when I teach my students and interact with families.
The reasons above are why I created The Transformational Teacher, LLC.
I wanted to create a safe place where we can connect with each other, pray with each other and grow in our spiritual walk with God together so we can teach with Joy and transform the lives of each student that we encounter in our classroom.
My motto is to pray, listen, be transformed, and teach to make a difference in our classroom. I truly believe that teaching is ministry and that teaching with Jesus is the best way to go.
